Captured on location at Nellis Air Force Base during the Aviation Nation airshow on April 5, 2025, Calypso Pass freezes one of the most technically demanding maneuvers in modern aerial demonstration. Performed by the elite U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, this striking fine-art photograph highlights the Lead Solo (#5 aircraft) flying inverted directly above the right-side-up Opposing Solo (#6 aircraft). Executed with such razor-sharp precision that the two F-16 Fighting Falcons appear to be perfect mirror reflections of one another against a brilliant desert sky, this piece captures the absolute pinnacle of high-speed synchronicity, extreme negative-G control, and pilot discipline.
